NOKIA 5700 XpressMusic

Nokia recently announced the launch of the Nokia 5700 XpressMusic, meant specifically for music enthusiasts.

The device with its twist design – switching between four modes: music player, 2-megapixel camera (with 4x digital zoom and flash), video call and smartphone – supports various audio formats, including WMA, MP3, eAAC+ and MP4.

Amongst its other features, the device also supports extendable memory via MicroSD cards, while its built-in stereo loudspeakers lets people share their tunes with friends. I

ts optimised music player supports album art, playlists, plus a 5-band equaliser and audio visualisations. Of course, the 5700 also comes with the standard trapping of all modern-day smartphones.

Meridian Fly SX210


Meridian Fly Mobiles launched their latest slider phone, the SX210, in India recently. Along with a 2-mega-pixel camera, the device also boasts of an inbuilt Web camera that connects to your PC.
The gadget, with a 262k touch screen display, claims to support video recording and playback, Bluetooth, FM with an FM recorder, MP3, and even has a TV out. The device, which also has a MicroSD expandable slot, is available for Rs 12500.

SanDisk Cruzer Control


SanDisk recently launched its new USB flash drive, the Cruzer Contour. The device, with a sliding USB connector, boasts of a write speed of 18MB/s and a read speed of 25MB/s.
It supports Windows Vista’s ReadyBoost feature, which uses free space on the drive to boost your machine’s RAM. If that’s not enough, the password-protected gadget, which comes in glossy black as well as silver metallic bodies, is pre-loaded with a host of useful software.

New laptop computer ‘Vostro 1000'


An employee of Dell displays its new laptop computer ‘Vostro 1000 (L) and 1400 (R)’ during a press conference in Tokyo, Wednesday. The computer maker put three laptops of the ‘Vostro’ series for medium and small-sized business on the Indian market, with prices starting at Rs 31,000.
The company also launched two desktop versions, the Vostro 200 Mini Tower and Vostro 200 Slim Tower, which will be available at a starting price of Rs 22,900

Motorokr Z6


Motorola launched their latest handset, the MotoRokr Z6, in India recently. The slider phone boasts of being optimised for simple plug-and-play music features.
Equipped with a 2-megapixel camera, the device claims to be pleasing to the eye with its 262K colour display - something which can be tested immediately with the 2-hour music video titled “Roger Waters, The Wall, Live in Berlin” that comes preloaded with every phone.
With 64MB of internal memory and a MicroSD expandable slot, the phone can be purchased for Rs 11,999,
